The nationwide sandwich franchise announced this week it would launch the "Picklewich," a sandwich with a giant kosher dill pickle  in place of the buns on Monday, Oct. 28, the company said in a news release.

The Picklewich comes in two varieties.

The Vito Picklewich includes salami and capicola with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, and vinegar surrounded by a gigantic pickle.

And the Turkey Picklewich, which includes turkey and provolone cheese, with lettuce and tomato caressed by a stupidly large pickle sliced lengthwise.

Jimmy Johns is also bringing back the Pickle Jimmy Chips to go along with the promotion.

National Sandwich Day is Sunday, Nov. 3, and the chain is offering its Freaky Fast Reward Members 50 percent off a Picklewich if they purchase any other eight-inch sub. Now that's a dill.

But, alas, pickle lovers, nothing gold can stay. The Picklewich will leave the menu on Thursday, Nov. 14.
